Here's a list from Soul Bounce, on their picks of the Top 10 albums from 2010.

I bet Elliott has heard quite a few of these especially The Roots. I know of at least 8 of the albums. Erykah Badu, Dwele and Avery Sunshine are my choices ( a few of these may not have been in the Top 10). The Roots, Sade & Cee-Lo & Greg Street (Greg is a DJ here in Atlanta) and Janelle Monae are good choices as well. I'm now following SoulBounce on Twitter so thanks SK8888.
I would love to hear him talk about these artists and their music instead of all the sports stuff he tweets, but you accept Elliott for what he is -- an unapologetic sports fanatic!!
What CD would you recommend for anyone, (like me,) who hasn't heard any of these artists' work?

I would definitely suggest Avery*Sunshine. I just recently discovered her myself through Twitter and Soul Tracks. I have her listed in the soulful vocalists thread here on the Etrain. She went to college here in Atlanta. She is full of personality and is a talented singer/songwriter and pianist. You can check some of her live performances out on youtube as well.
http://www.reverbnation.com/averysunshineErykah Badu has been around for a while. Her album "Live" from 1997 is awesome. She is a very "deep" artist. I haven't purchased the newest one yet.
