Guess who I get to see on Friday!?!!



No, not Elliott, unfortunately, but David Archuleta! Apparently he's on a book tour (!) and will be stopping at the Mall of America this weekend. While he's in town a local TV show nabbed him for an interview and a 1-song performance, and I got a couple of free tickets to be in the studio audience!

Should be fun - the audience is very small (maybe about 100) and hopefully the tweeners will still be in school since it's an afternoon show!

Hmmmm..... what should I wear?

That's so cool, MOMster! I love Archie! He will be here in Long Island, NY tomorrow night. I would have loved to go meet him but unfortunately I am laid up for the next month or so with a fractured foot. Have fun!

While we were waiting for the show to start, my sister and I volunteered to do a sound bite for the following week's guest where we asked a question in front of the camera - it may or may not be broadcast as part of next week's show - but the bait to get us to do it was we were allowed to walk through the studio while David was doing his sound check, and we walked right by him, about two feet away from him, while he was at the piano singing his butt off! It was really cool. As we walked by he looked up and smiled at us.

There were less than 50 people in the audience, and at the end he came over and they took his picture with the audience. Supposedly they will put the picture on the TCL web site, but I haven't seen it yet.

Very fun experience - he is such a sweetie - VERY small, very shy and nervous, just like he was on Idol!

HI Yall, I remember when David Archuletta came to Sacramento, CA on the AI Live Tour & I go to see him out by the busses when they pulled up to Arco Arena. I remember it was a very hot day that day! David's a very nice guy with a good voice!!!!

Thx ILE - and yes, MIE, he has a very nice voice - here he is today at Mall of America - he sings "I'll Be" a cappella - very nice!

WOW....there's not many people that can sing a cappella and sound just as good as with a band. David is in the company with Elliott there.

David was absolutely great on A Capitol Fourth tonight! Sang the Star Spangled Banner and Stand by Me and has such poise and confidence now. A really talented singer.
