I hope it's something substantial and not just a silly medley because it's Simon's last day. Nevertheless, it definitely sounds like he will be on stage, singing in some capacity, or he wouldn't be so elusive and excited about it.

I was hoping for an appearance with one of the contestants, either MamaSox or Big Mike. But....looks like that's not it.

Now, I don't know about anyone else, but I'm not so sure that I would deduce that Taylor and Elliott are performing a duet, simply on the basis of E's tweet. :>))

I would not assume a duet. Not even necessarily singing. Maybe just a mass reunion. But probably a mass group song.

I dunno. Elliott has been treated so shamefully by AI in the past (Idol Gives Back 2010) that I'll believe he'll be on the Finale show when I see him.

Huh?? What's up with the pants on the ground thing? Please don't let it be something silly that Elliott is participating in. I want to see a real performance from Elliott. The largest viewing audience needs to see a memorable performance from him doing what he does best.

Whatever it is, it'll be good is my feeling. If it is "Pants on the Ground" so be it. It appears that a lot of them are back for this and it's all for Simon's send off. Hey, it could be worse, like him not being on at all. Idol loves Elliott and you know he's happy to be a part of it.

absolutely! The way I see it is Elliott is one of the idols they have embraced and had back on quite a few times, and Elliott wouldn't do something he didn't wanna, so it will be fantastic to see him, no matter what!

I guess that's a good (positive) way to look at it. Elliott in any capacity is better than no Elliott at all.

It looks like the vast majority of the former finalists will be on the show. Many have openly said that they're showing up and others have played so cagey about it that it looks like they will, too, probably.

Makes sense, since Simon is so much the man behind the curtain in developing the show. "Epic" is probably the point -- the stage will be full of idols, I would bet. I'm sure they're having a lot of fun.
