Title: Justin Beiber
Description: Grow a Beard!!

Ugh!! I just have to say it. Justin Beiber is someone I cannot take seriously.

He looks like he's barely 12 years old and his signature bowl cut gets on my nerves.

But the kicker is that radio and the industry big wigs love this kid. Ryan Seacrest takes him to the movies, and makes sure to sit next to him as he introduces Usher on last night's AI.

Beiber's success feeds my disdain for the radio industry and decimates the credibility that Music Directors try to cling to. But in the end, having millions of 9-14 year-old fans, trumps real artistry or originality.

Elliott works hard to come up with a distinctive sound, and Beiber just sings a cover of Wfy that goes viral on YouTube. He's done so many covers from Justin Timberlake and more, and all they can do is say "good job kid."

He's probably got a decent voice. But I don't care, because he hasn't had to pay any real dues to succeed.

AMEN! I just don't get it!

Bieber is really just a glorified Aaron Carter clone, but man, the sad thing is that he's not even the worst of pop music. That would probably have to go to Kesha (not putting that damn dollar sign in her name), who looks like a drugged-out prostitute and sounds like my drunken sorority sisters at Applebees Karaoke Night.

I agree. I may be wasting my time with filling out several music surveys each month, but it is a way to let stations know what you do like and what you don't.

Argh!!! Now Beiber is releasing a cover of "Somebody to Love."

Beiber and his team must have watched and listened to everything Elliott's ever sung, and just go in REPEAT mode.

I also think his tweets are written by his team or his mother. And the #beiberfacts that get tweeted just kill me.

STL! one of my all-time favorites that Elliott sang. I just don't know what to think about this.

Listening now on SYTYCD, same title, different song. There are a lot of songs with the same titles that are completely different, can be confusing. Trouble is another one. :)

Just saw the world premiere of a video with Bieber and Usher on SYTYCD. Justin will not be around for long. The music industry sucks right now. There are only a few artists out there that are trying to bring "real" music back.

^^

I hope you are right Nickey. The Beiber phenomena is over the top.

When people like Kim Kardashian, Ryan Seacrest and others hang out with him, not to mention Usher and Ludicris, it just gives him more credibility than he deserves.

Beiber will be irrelevant within the next three years. :)

Aw darn, I missed Beiber last night performing to a sold out Oracle Arena in Oakland, CA last night!!

The reviewer from the San Francisco Chronicle was NOT kind to Justin or the crew. I'll see if I can find a link. Funny, the reviewer said that Beiber put on a Yankees hat when he started to sing his second song, much to the chagrin of the mostly young teen audience.

I guess his banter is VERY cheesy and all totally memorized. No spontaneous interaction with the audience at all.
