The person who tweeted Elliott yesterday from ABC has a great article that was posted about 30 minutes ago on the ABC website:

 Thanks, I kinda thought the Embassy helped him out when he tweeted that the Embassy told him to stay put.

Yamin said he has been able to get a six-day restock for his insulin pump through the U.S. Embassy and the manufacturer of the pump that he hopes will last him until he is able to get a flight.

Has anybody been able to access the media accompanying the article (I'm assuming she spoke with Elliott)? It's been sitting there "loading" for what seems like forever.

What I've listened to so far is the same interview we heard on Saturday.

Wow! A *very* good thing that Elliott's situation helped to bring some more awareness to this issue! Nice to see something good come out of it, since it's been a scary struggle for him.

Elliott Yamin, Diabetics Face Medical Danger After Earthquake

Yamin said he has been able to get a six-day restock for his insulin pump through the U.S. Embassy and the manufacturer of the pump that he hopes will last him until he is able to get a flight.

“The important thing now is getting emergency supplies, testing kits and insulin, to victims on the ground,” he said, because “for those with Type 1 diabetes, running out of insulin becomes extremely dangerous within a day or two.

“Obviously injured people need attention as well,” he said. “But people tend to put on a back burner those with chronic disease like diabetes.”

HI Yall, Today is a great day!!!! OMG thats great & incredible news Elliott got a six-day restock for his insulin pump through the U.S. Embassy & the pump manufacturer untill he is able to get a flight back to the U. S.!!!! I really think :thatsucks: injured people need attention as well but people tend to be put on the back burner those with chronic disease like Diabetes!!!! I think the people with chronic disease that are put on the back burner are just as important as everybody else!!!! I think in the future when Elliott gos on short or long trips he should bring more then not enough insulin then he'll be sure he doesn't run out !!!! Yes I'm sure this six-day restock is enough untill Elliott returns to the U.S.!!!! :woohoo:   :goodpost: :worship: :goodjob: :ilikeit: :iloveit: :mademyday: :congrats: :elliottcap: :1word: :high5: :2thumbsup: :itsallgood: :perfect:
