As you all know Elliott is in Chile now. He is with his tour manager John. There was a 8.5 magnitude earthquake there this evening and tsunami warnings are out.

I will keep you as updated as I can. The only information I have now is that he is safe for now and has been in touch with family. I know you all are worried. I am too. Right now he seems to be keeping the world informed via his Twitter account. (www.twitter.com/elliottyamin)

As I was writing this he texted me... He's very scared and they are telling him to head to higher ground because they are close to the water. The earth is still trembling there.

If you pray ..Pray for him and the people in Chile tonight.

Things are a bit calmer but still small tremors. He's very tired but could not even lay down in the street from the shaking.

He was on the 6th floor of his hotel. I don't see him going back there anytime soon.

He says the roads are passable there at least where he is. So hopefully that means it won't be hard for him to return.

I was on his twitter, reading his tweets re: the competition when the tweets on the quake were posted. I was shocked and very, very worried. I'm glad he is safe.

Hopefully the Red Cross will be on the ground by then, Elliott should be able to get medical supplies from them.

I just woke up bc this new dog we have has been very figety and i happened to check my phone and saw alll the tweets. Needless to say now im scared for E/John and everyone there. I've never known anyone whose been in a catastrophe. Sending prayers for everyone.

ABC just announced that they'll be talking to Elliott. Probably at 7:30 Eastern, right after the local news breaks? ... They quoted him as saying that he was scared it was the end of his life, poor baby!
