This is a picture from the Highline concert 2 years ago. That is Gail(BEAR88) from upstate New York. She made the long trip to see Elliott that day, and she was sooooooo thrilled to meet him.
I sent her one of this year's ornaments, and got a note in the mail today from her husband. He wrote..."I am sorry to tell you that Gail passed away on March 5th. Being a fan of Elliott's brought her great joy,Thank you for the tree trimmers. I will keep them forever.

I am so sad right now, yet so thankful that she realized one of her dreams.
I have 2 cd's that she made for me with some of her favorite songs(non-Elliott), that I listen to on a regular basis. We had very similar taste in music. I will treasure them now. :chloestrain:

Yes, she did come with us into the sound check. Then she sat upstairs with a niece that met her there.

Oh wow, I was just thinking about her the other day; wondering if she would be thinking about coming to the Highline again. She was so happy that day - she tapped me on the shoulder when we were standing in line and asked if we were from etrain. We all had a great time getting to know her and I remember being worried when I lost track of her when we were leaving the building after the soundcheck. Turns out we didn't have to leave after all and I wanted her to know that. But she was fine; I talked to her online after the concert and she said she had to go outside to meet up with her niece. She told me that that day was one of the best days she ever had. (Don't we know the feeling?!)

I'm so sorry. We'll raise a toast to her in NY on the 3rd.

OMG! I just saw this. I am so sorry to hear this news. Chloe, I bet you brought tears and MUCH happiness to Gail's husband. Sending prayers to her family.

aww, i can't believe i missed this post.

so very sad for her family but so very happy she got to fulfill one of her dreams before she left us for a better place.

Although I did not know Bear88 (Gail) I loved the photo and I know that 'HAPPY" feeling of meeting Elliott and other E-trainers . It's always sad to hear of someone's passing. My heartfelt condolences to her husband and family. This is a little belated but may she rest in peace.

Just seeing this now and it breaks my heart. She, Claudette, and Amanda must be listening to E together in Heaven. Bless your heart Carol that you are so wonderful to each and every Elliott fan you meet. I know she would have cherished those ornaments. RIP. ;( :grouphug: :grouphug:
