On another note, I have been lucky enough to have heard the complete Unbroken and it is simply an amazing CD. Well written songs, well produced, her voice has never sounded better. It is a very personal record and she really explores areas of her voice she never really has before. It is light years better than her first record which I did love. I'm not sure how it will sell out of the gate but Verve/Universal has high hopes for it and are definitely behind this record. It is just that good. Her skills as a songwriter will really surprise a lot of people.
Personal favorites:
Keep Drivin is simply the best thing she has ever done. Terrified, How and It's Not right are AC/HAC hits just waiting to happen. There is not one song I don't really like and many many I absolutely love. Kat has found herself musically with this record and I sincerely believe it will have very strong reviews and critical acclaim. Hopefully that will translate into a solid selling record for her. She deserves it with this one.
Amazon has the mp3 CD for $3.99. I listened to the clips but haven't committed to downloading the album. It's hard to tell much from the clips.
Bill, in case you read this today, Ryan is doing a spot with Kat tonight (Jan 5) on E! News. I get it at 6 PM Central but I think it repeats several times.
LOL I'm buying the album...it's only $4, not much money spent there. Besides, I love all the songs I've heard so far from it, if those are any indication then this is definitely one of the better Idol releases. Hey, as far as I'm concerned, Elliott will always be my #1 but the Season 5 fanwars are over. Therefore, if I like the album then I'm gonna buy it ;)
