Title: MICHAEL JACKSON'S "THIS IS IT"
Elliottisastar - October 28, 2009 06:37 AM (GMT)
Just saw it tonight and it's fantastic! If you love his music, it's a must see. The creative genius behind the music and choreography is so evident. The sets and video for the tour that was never to happen were amazing! And be sure to stay until the VERY end of the credits for song after song!
Although this movie was on the big screen, it felt like an intimate evening with Michael Jackson and he came across like a regular guy that wanted to put on a great show for his fans.

Elliottisastar.....Glad you enjoyed.
I pre-ordered my ticket but, I don't go till next week. Just like Elliott I never got to see him in concert so, I can't wait to see the "Genius" he was.

Just saw This Is It this afternoon. I really enjoyed it! It'll make you laugh, but it'll make you cry as well. I tried my best not to cry, but I did. Michael's truly phenomenal. It's so hard to believe that he's gone.

I saw 'This Is It' yesterday. It's a very well done piece. There was an incredible number of extremely talented people involved in MJ's show. Really fascinating to see what might have been.

Some backup dancers from 'This Is It' will be on Ellen today.

@MOMster: Thanks for the heads up! :)
ETA: Saw the back-up dancers with Travis Payne on Ellen about an hour ago. Fantastic!
@Iyamafan: Yes, don't forget to bring tissues!

My family, as well as my sister and her children, are scheduled to see the movie together this weekend. I purchased our tickets the day after they went on sale to make sure I didn't miss seeing it. I'm glad to so many positive comments about the film. But, considering the fact that I was never disappointed the five times I saw Michael in concert, I'm not surprised. He truly was an amazing performer.
RockinBB, I've been meaning to tell you that I like that MJ clip. Nymphadora, your comment reminded me that I should probably take along a little package (or maybe even a couple of packages) of tissue.

My family and I saw the movie today and really enjoyed it. I look forward to it coming out on DVD.
The only downside about seeing it is that I can't get the songs out of my head. It probably doesn't help that my kids keep singing the songs over and over again! :)

You are so fortunate to have seen him FIVE times in concert!! That must be some kind of record!!

Saw it yesterday.
That was going to be one more amazing concert.!!!!
Even the rehearsals were really good.
He seemed to be in excellent health.
So sad we didn't get to see the real thing.

Our girls asked to go see "This is It" instead of trick or treating, so we took them! It was a great movie & would have been one helluva show. I cried a few times as I kept remembering that Michael is really gone. I am thrilled that his music is being loved & appreciated by a new generation, makes it feel like he will always be with us.

I went to see it for the 2nd time in 5 days on Sunday and enjoyed it again. It feels like you have a front row seat at the stage during the concert. I teared up again like I did the first time when he sang "I'll Be There" but the rest brought pure joy and many smiles.

I don't know if I set any records, but I do know my mom always did her best to get tickets to concerts put on by Michael and his brothers whenever they came to our town. And, while I was in college, she even bought airplane tickets for me and my younger sister so that we could fly out to California and attend one of Michael's concerts with some of our cousins as a joint birthday present for the two of us.
It was fun to be able to see the film with my sister the other day. Sitting in the theater next to her definitely brought back memories of the shows we attended over the years...except there was no screaming. Our kids would've been so embarrassed! :)

I just arrived home from seeing the movie. I never had the privilege of seeing Michael in concert. I was completely surprised and taken back when I realized I was the only one in the theatre so, it felt like Michael was performing just for me.....AMAZING.
I danced in my seat, smiled and cried at times. To see the look on the Dancers and Singers faces while they were watching Michael perform was unreal. Words can not express how awesome this concert would have been.
I saw a Happy, Healthy, Drug Free man and could not believe that just a few days later he was no longer with us.....absolutely mind boggling.
I left the theatre with one thought in my mind, "GONE TOO SOON".
