JUST FOR FUN! Do you have an opinion? Feel free add them here. Also, links to news, videos, pictures, your analyses - anything related to Adam and Susan.
My sisters and I are having a little bet to see whose album will sell better, Adam's or Susan's. The loser buys coffee. Here are a few articles I've seen - I'm sure there are or will be many more ...
Adam Lambert vs. Susan Boyle: Which Nov. 24 record release has you more excited?

http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/2...lease_date.html"Both artists are expected to do well, but who will fight for #1? I have a strong feeling that the Adam Lambert following is so impressive that this won't even be close in the end. I fully expect Adam Lambert to not only outsell Susan Boyle 2-to-1, but to be the #1 album on the Billboard charts."
Susan Boyle’s upcoming album, “I Dreamed a Dream,” has become the largest CD pre-order in the history of the Amazon.com Music Store

I'm sure it will be Adam Lambert but, I won't be contributing to his sales. Not interested....his screeching on AI was enough for me.

ADAM!!!!!! LOVE HIM!!!!!!

I'm sure it will be Adam Lambert and I will be contributing to his sales. I'm sure many will join me. Fantastic voice.
BTW I really like Susan too.

One of my sisters can't stand Adam, and is sure Susan will outsell him. Another sister likes them both, and thinks their sales will be close but Susan will 'win'. I also like them both, but think Adam will totally outsell Susan. So either I'm buying coffee for both of my sisters, or they're splitting the cost of mine. :)

Well if you REALLY want to know....LOL!! I love Susan too and actually pre-ordered BOTH of their CD's on Amazon. In fact, Amazon pairs them together!
People who don't "get" Adam remind me of the people that didn't "get" Elliott. They don't recognize vocal perfection and just never will. I feel bad for them.
But I know for sure that you WILL get free coffee!! LOL!! Adam is a superstar and will be iconic as all of us fans have been saying from the start! Susan will do well and I wish her tons of success!

They're so different, like apples and oranges or Elliott and Paul Potts( opera) I love Adam and Susan and their music equally, but for different reasons. I pre ordered both and wish them both equal success for years to come.

I totally "got" Elliott from the moment he opened his mouth. I don't "get" Adam. I can appreciate that Adam has a great voice and can do remarkable things with it, but it isn't a voice that pleases my ears. Never have and never will care for singers that use their higher registers the way Adam does. If he was to do an album just using his lower register I might be tempted, but I'm sure that's not going to happen.
It's amazing how all of us who love Elliott can have such differing opinions on other singers. Just goes to show how subjective everybody's taste is :).
Really enjoyed Susan Boyle's version of Wild Horses, but I want to hear more material before I commit to buying her album. There's a plaintiveness in her voice that really appeals to me. It's like she's harnessed all the hurt and pain in her life and it just pours out when she sings.

You might like Adam's studio versions of "Tracks of My Tears" and "Mad World" - both in lower registers and very nice!

I also enjoy both of them, but cannot stand Adams high pitch wail he is so fond of doing. Drives me insane. I LOVE his 'normal voice', maybe that equates to his lower register? He truly does have a beautiful sound & tone when he sings naturally & doesn't force it to an octave it doesn't need to be at. Just because you can hit those high notes doesn't mean ya should. Not crazy about his new single but am so excited to hear his new album!
I love Susans' voice, but not crazy for her new single either, only because it is soooo slow. Wish they would have picked up the tempo a smidge. Looking foward to hearing her new album as well.

Tom Bergeron announced tonight on Dancing with the Stars that Susan Boyle would be there tomorrow night for the Results Show and will sing "I Dreamed a Dream"!!! Can't wait!!!

WOW!!! Thank you MOMster!!!
RockinBB - November 25, 2009 12:48 AM (GMT)
Picked up Susan's CD today at Target. Susan only had 4 left in the rack and Adam had about 15. When I went to the check out stand the Cashier said, we have sold a lot of these today. I asked if Adam Lamberts were selling as well and she said, No.....only a couple sold. Maybe just maybe his behavior on the AMA's could be the reason. I do know that he was scheduled to perform on Good Morning America on Wednesday but, they cancelled his performance.
Elliottisastar - November 25, 2009 01:04 AM (GMT)
A lot of people pre-ordered Adam's CD like I did. I then bought another copy on Itunes. It shows his sales are doing fine! When GMA canceled him, The Morning Show jumped in and grabbed him to perform two songs live instead of the recorded interview they had with him. If someone wasn't a fan before the AMA performance, they definitely won't become one. Adam's real fans are sticking with him.

I think I'll have to start brewing coffee for my sisters...
Susan Boyle's First-Week U.S. Album Saleshttp://www.billboard.biz/bbbiz/content_dis...6d16d058bd324b9Adam Lambert’s shenanigans may have upset the sensibilities of viewers ... However, the only impact his AMA performance has had on sales seems to have been positive.
Boyle, however, is proving to be the big story of the week.

These both showed up in my mail today from Amazon from my pre-order. Listening to Susan now. Beautiful!! She deserves to do well!!

They're like comparing apples and oranges. You can't compare. Her Madonna's ''You''ll See'' is much better than Madonna's original. Adam sings great dance music. The only thing they have in common is that they both can sing show tunes. It would be cool if someday they did a show tune duet- maybe for a charity event.
