Kelly Clarkson cancelsWow, I almost went to this. Kelly Clarkson cancelled tonight. On the news tonight they said the opening act Eric Hutchinson played a longer set in her place. Good exposure for him! Bummer for the people who went to the Fair just to see her.

She cancelled for vocal reasons. She had already done a sound check.

I almost went to this, too. Funny, though, I haven't made any plans yet to go the MN State Fair. I should get to that.
Anyway, I hope she's alright and makes a full vocal recovery.

I don't go every year, but am going on Sunday with a couple of my siblings for the amateur talent contest finals. It's free at the Grandstand, but you have to get there early. I need to get to the fair even earlier so I can try something on a stick!

Let us know if you find fried "Twinkies."
Couldn't find any this year at the Sonoma County Fair. Maybe they went organic!

:eww: I don't know if I could bring myself to eat a deep fried Twinkie (are they good?) but I googled the Fair's web site and found that Spaghetti Eddie's has them - with toppings!

Oh, man, I can't even begin to fathom how many pounds calories that would be. And yet, it sounds oddly appetizing to me, as well as all the other "junk" food they have. But, hey, that's what fair food is all about.

I like the "chocolate covered cheesecake on a stick" at Heritage Square. Can't go wrong there!

I like Twinkies so every year I say I'm going to try a deep fried Twinkie at the state fair but when the time comes I talk myself out of it LOL!

I really like your shirt! Did you create it yourself or have it made?

I got it a long time ago - I think on eBay! can't remember how I came across it, but I did have to bid on it a few times before I won it. :elliottcap: It got a lot of stares at the State Fair - I mean, a LOT!
