During the first few days of July I was wondering what to do for Elliott's birthday. I don't know...hmm, I think I might have subconsciously made a habit of making a little something for Elliott on his birthday. lol.

Last year, I did the typographic portrait (using the names of etrainers) for his birthday. This time I tried to cartoonize Elliott by trying to draw him on Photoshop. I wouldn't say that it looks very exactly like him, but I'm proud of what I was able to come up with knowing that this was the very first time I tried to do this kind of art (where I didn't edit the original picture, but drew it instead) and it was the first time I tried to use the cs4 version of photoshop. I spent a total of about 10-11 hours trying to play around with the program to do this, but hey, anything for Elliott! Just good timing that his birthday is during the summer so I have the time to do it. Heehee. I hope Elliott gets to take a little look at it too...My family and friends know that I'm not an artsy person but he's really inspired me to do something for him. And Elliott, if you do get to see this, have a wonderful birthday!!

I thought the portrait you made last year was incredibly great and this one equally so. I love the photo you chose too. Love everything about it. So happy that you created another one for him and that Elliott will be able to enjoy an expression of an etrainer's talent.

I was expecting a cartoon rendition that might look like Daffy Duck or something, since you supposedly aren't artsy & I KNOW I am not artsy, so that is what my 'drawing' of E would resemble.
