I mentioned this in the topic on streaming FFL from VH1 and MTV, but I think it is worthy of a topic on its own. IHeartRadio is operated by Clear Channel and they have almost every video imaginable in their On Demand feature. They also keep a list of the top 20 videos. I don't know if it would help radio play one iota if FFL made the top 20, but it might help with downloads from iTunes. I'm not recommending that we play it excessively as I think it is probably more important that a large number of people play it one, two, or three times than it is a small group of people playing a large number of times. Most commercial sites keep a close tab of the number of unique hits as well as the number of return visits in any given time period. Here's the link:

OFE,
For what it's worth, I think iheartRadio is a site and Internet presence to be very aware of.
A couple of weeks ago, Elliott's Fight for Love was featured at its Internet radio web site. They feature music video face-offs on the site, but even more interesting is that there is a downloadable application to the IPhone which if it takes off, will "embed" ClearChannel music programming into everyone's mobile phone who downloads the application.
To illustrate this, I was walking to a set of bleachers to watch a Little League game. As I passed two women, one was showing the other the iheartradio app she had just downloaded to her IPhone. (It was a bit surreal, since I just started having an awareness of the product.)
They were not hardcore fans of Elliott, but tech savvy peeps who will be of the new generation that uses their phone much like an IPod.
We haven't heard the last of iheartradio by a long shot imo.
SK8888,
I totally agree with you. Online streaming is the wave of the future. And it's becoming an important source of revenue for artists. The fact that it is a branch of Clear Channel Communications makes it even more worthwhile, to stream as much as possible.
If you click on the Add button, you can link the video to almost every other service available. Unfortunately, my stubborn self has steadfastly refused to join Twitter, MySpace or Facebook so the best I could do was put the link on my web page and in an email to my family mailing list. The more we get the link floating around the Internet, the more unique hits there will be. We might even unearth some new Elliott fans. :)
I am still researching this, but I also believe that proper royalties are paid to singers, musicians and songwriters alike, when a song is streamed over the Internet or played over satellite.
It is terrestrial radio that is the lone hold out.
thanks for the good information, ladies. I just linked it to yahoo buzz and facebook!
