"Shelter" is amazing and it should have made the album. I wish "Shelter" was an Itunes Bonus Track(not that I don't like the other songs. I do!!!) It's amazing though. No wonder E had such a hard choice to make when deciding which songs were going to make the cd and which ones would be bonus tracks! They're all sooooooo good! :rocker:

For me Doorway wins the prize as the best bonus track, with The Bridge is Burning a really, really, really close second place. The only reason I place them in that order is because I think the message of Doorway is a little more unique. They're both wonderful songs. There are so many good songs on this album it's ridiculous.

Doorway catches me too, and Always. I do like Don't Change too... something about the sound of his voice in this song... just something.

I may be the only one, but Shelter is my least favorite, if I can have one, of all the new songs.

Yep. Hope the world gets to hear more of his artistry on the bonuses because they show a whole different side of his voice. Doorway and Shelter are excellent and don't sound typical yet they are gorgeous. I love the way his voice starts blending right into the music towards the end on Doorway--there is so much good stuff going on here both vocally and musically. As for shelter what a sexy beat and all the harmonics (tears, tears coming down) and then there is the most awesome little musical bridge on Shelter and great lyrics: "cause I understand what you've been though and I know just how to take care of you and you will never be alone if that's what you fear--then girl just come on in it's safe and warm in here"--ahhhh :awe: . The fare on the main album is more current industry standard but you can sink into these two like thick juicy steaks.

Also Bridge is Burning and The Good Outweigh the Bad are great even if they seem more like radio R&B--I especially like the piano with his voice on The Good Outweigh the Bad--it is....the perfect combination

Oh and must mention Always for the unusual beats on the chorus and Don't Change as cute flippant lyrics and tune--"maybe it was me thinking she'd understand I'm a good guy" - love, love, love

yeah man, Doorway is my jam right now, favorite song elliott has recorded of both albums so far.... song is addicting and has a very cool vibe to it, I also like Don't Change a lot as well

Not to be stupid - but where can you get "Shelter" and Doorway"...were they bonus tracks. Bought the CD from Target and Walmart and got some other bonus tracks. Just wondering if you can let us know PLEASE???

Doorway is an iTunes bonus.

Shelter is an Amazon mp3 bonus. You have to be careful if you buy from Amazon, though. When I bought, they still had the old mp3 album up with the "I Believe" bonus. That's the one I ended up getting. I didn't mind since I already had Shelter and hadn't heard the full remake of "I Believe".

Two of my favorites are Shelter and Doorway. I find myself listening to them more than some of the others yet I love all his songs. I think he is a brilliant musician.

Newbie question here How in the WORLD do I get all these extra songs with out spending too much money?

:hellowelcome: I know it's crazy but I don't know if there is a easy way. I have put alot of money into trying to obtain all of his bonus tracks. I have 8 of the bonus tracks. I still have 1 more (Don't Turn Away-one of the Japanese releases) that I can't find anywhere. He's worth every dime I've spent. Wish that there were a more economical way but I just had to bite the bullet :-). Just think that you are starting a library of his early stuff because I think that he will be around for years to come. P.S. I have all of his stuff from Idol (actual performances) , every cd that his voice has been on (Sound Doctrine-Big Planz,The Storm-Big Planz, AI Season 5 Encores, Disneymania 6, Elliott Yamin-debut ,Wait For You-Japan release, My Kind of Holiday,Randy Jackson's Vol. 1, Fight For Love (about 3 copies)). My love for Elliott and his voice runs deep (if you can't tell :-)) :awe:

Shelter is a great track, love the lyrics. Steve Russell is a great writer and Elliotts voice rocks it. Steve Russell works pretty closely with James Fauntleroy who interestingly wrote 'Doorway' and 'Forever in you' - which i think are my two favourite bonus tracks. They have done tracks together that everyone should check out if they haven't already - like 'Papercut' and 'Ten Miles Tall' :)

Is insane though how many bonus tracks there are and how good all of them are! there is enough for a new album! Definitely want to hear Don't Turn Away in full!

FYI - when I downloaded the copy of F4L from Amazon.com with the bonus track "SHELTER" it downloaded to my I-Tunes Library. I had to download the Amazon download application and I thought "GREAT - another place where my music is!!!" but then as it was downloading the tunes, my I-Tunes application automatically opened and it added the songs there! Now I can add it to my I-Pod nano. Just thought you might like to know.

Absolutely positively love Shelter!!

Finally have all 18 tracks associated with F4L in one place on my IPhone and in ITunes by creating a play list. Love every single one but at this moment in time I am completely obsessed (OBSESSED I SAY) with Shelter! OMG what a song. It's layers and Elliott's voice are just so amazing it is sick! haha for real, i am exactly the same, keep switching my favourites all the time. Just rediscovered 'Always', dont think i will ever get bored...What an album!
