Title: Yahrzeit: Remembering on the Anniversary of a Deat
chloewannabee - March 31, 2009 01:39 PM (GMT)
"It was the best of times, it was the worst of times"...
Today, I am remembering Claudette, on the anniversary of her untimely passing, with love and fond memories.
This is from the first time I met her in Long Island back in 2006

..after the concert, at the etrain tailgate party, here she is, signing Elliott's banner

This is one of my favorite pictures from the Jcc event in Feb 08

And here is the ultimate "look of love"

Let's share our special memories on this day, and take comfort in the fact that Claudette is watching from another place, still overwhelmed with the joy that Elliott has and continues to give her.
Rest in Peace, dear friend.

From everything I could gather from observing this lady in action, I would have to say that she was someone that could truly be admired. It was an honor to meet her. God Bless Elliott and the entire family in this time that is probably very difficult. I hope the wonderful memories they have, give them much joy.
With Love, Linda

She was definitely one of a kind. I met her for the first time at her Welcome Home luncheon in Richmond only a month or so before she passed. She loved meeting us all and talking about Elliott. My prayers go out to him and his whole family today.

:awe: She was so special. She loved the fact that I rode a Harley, thought that was so neat.

Chloe in your last pic, that's me barely in the pic standing behind Claudette. I was trying to keep her from being knocked around. It was a special moment for me.

Our thoughts go out to the Yamin family on this day. It is so amazing that all these people are so willing to share their memories of Claudette. She will be remembered fondly by E-trainers always!

I remember the last couple of times I saw Claudette - even the last time at the gala - she was beautiful in her dress and dancing a jig. I still think of her so often. Hard to believe it has been a year!

Oh man, my heart is with E, Scott & Jodi. I know they are thinking of their precious mother & missing her & we right along with them.
What a spitfire she was!! I was pleasured to have met her & talk with her a few times in Richmond & she was a hoot. LOVED her sass & she was funny as hell.
My heart aches at the loss of her, but is happy with the wonderful memories of her.

Elliott, Jodi and Scott,
I'm sure your Ma is looking down on you and so proud of all of your accomplishments. I don't have to tell you that she was a phenomenal human being who gave so much. Know my heart goes out to you all today. She will truly be missed at the gala this year.

I wanted to bump this up. Another year has gone by but it feels like yesterday. Her light burns so bright.
We love you Claudette!

I never met Ms. Claudette but I want to celebrate her life with all of you guys who knew and loved her. I wasn't on the E-Train when his mom passed. I learned of her death the night he performed on Idol. I was in total shock. My thoughts are with Elliott and his siblings (Scott and Jodi) today.

I can't believe it's been three years - oh how she loved her children. That picture of her and Elliott makes me tear up everytime I look at it. I did meet her at the luncheon, she was a special lady. Whole family are in my thoughts and prayers today.
