Sheryl and I decided to take a chance and go to the city today to catch the last show of Grease. Got to the theater around 4, only to find out , there were 10 tix left...premium seats...$250.00 each!!!! Okay, now I love Acey, but REALLY! &250.00??? No way. So we waited by the stage door, knowing he'd come outside after the matinee. Didn't have to wait very long, and Ace came outside to the screams and cheers of the probably 200 people waiting to see him. He took time to talk, sign aotographs, pose for a gazillion pictures. He is just such a nice guy!. Sheryl and I just stood around, and eventually he saw us. He came right over, with a gigantic hug, and talked to us for a while. I had on a few (okay, 4 ) Ace buttons I had made, and also a button of Elliott with Claudette.

Ace pointed to that one and said" I would really like one of those, do you have any extras with you? I didnt have extras, so I gave him mine. He was so appreciative, he kept saying, thanks a lot, I really like that. I had given him a set of Ace buttons a while back, and he said he gave them to his mom, who loves them. But he really liked the one of E and Claudette.
Then he had to run off and eat before the next show. so Shetyl and I walked a few blocks to a cute little Italian restaurant for dinner. She insisted on treating me for a birthday present. Thanks so much S, it was great. The food was delicious!
OMG!!!! Shortly after we got to the restaurant, suddenly we hear that oh so familiar piano strain, and WAIT FOR YOU was playing on the radio in the restaurant. We both kind of freaked, and kept looking around, as if people were going to sing along or something!
After dinner, we walked back to the theater, thinking, this is NYC, surely there will be some scalpers selling tix. But noooooo. Guy in the box office told us we could wait on the side, and if there were any cancellations, he'd sell them 2 us for $141.50. We decided to pass, since we had already said goodbye to Ace, and we had already seen the show last month.
So even though we didnt get in to the show, it was a fun day nonetheless. Only got these 2 pics....
