They're having a wee bit of trouble this Cactus season, but hey, it's early days!

georgiafan1 - March 2, 2008 04:37 PM (GMT)
I'm getting pretty excited about the new season. I hope that our Braves make it to the World Series. It's been a few years. It would be even better if we would win. That would be a new experience for us. :elliottcap2:

The Giants won yesterday, woohoo!

All their young guys seem pretty promising. I'm really looking forward to what they can bring.

Does anyone here get FSN PRIME channel? Hoping someone can capture Elliott's National Anthem on April 4th (if the Anthem is televised) Texas @ LA

Friday, April 4 vs Rangers 7:05 PM PRIME KLAA 830, KWKW 1330 (Sp.)

wee_moggie - March 17, 2008 07:35 PM (GMT)
Barry Zito got a victory, yay!

He could have done without giving up that grand slam, but whatever.

;)

Go Twins! :) I have to see how they are doing. I don't have cable so I have to check online and see how they did.

Sk8888 - June 12, 2008 12:31 AM (GMT)
Inter-league play this weekend.

I'll be seeing the Oakland A's visiting the SF Giants Saturday night.

I need one of those baseball caps that is split with half SF and half Oakland A's. I'll be cheering for them both. How weird is that?

We're in the nose bleed section. Maybe we'll catch a soaring foul pop up!

Well, that way you can cheer when ANY play is made!

There just isn't a bad seat in the "yard" at the Giants stadium. (Shameless corporate plug omitted.)

We got to see two of the major leagues great pitchers match up in a pitcher's duel -- Matt Cain and Rich Harden.

The Giants lost, and got swept by the A's, but I can't wait for more summer baseball.

p.s. Earlier that day I watched my godson's team win their Little League Double A championship game. My guy came up with bases loaded and cracked a first pitch double to start the ball rolling onto a 16-2 win.

I know he's trying. But he's lost his groove somethin' fierce.

Thank goodness he and Joe Blanton aren't teammates anymore, or the A's would really be in the dumper too.

Btw: thanks for all of the nice comments about my godson's Little League game. It's something you know he will remember forever too.

I can't believe the Giants had a 10-3 lead and blew it and lost 11-10. And it wasn't even Zito pitching....

I tuned in to sports talk after the game was over. It wasn't pretty.

That was an ugly loss. Lincecum left the game with a lead and then Yabu blows it. Why can't the Giants find middle relievers, now that we finally have a closer????
