Check out www.myspace.com/paul_potts under tour dates at the top. He's even touring in NY, NJ, CT, MA, AZ AND CA. Like Elliott, Paul is an inspiration.
If you've never hear of him or never heard him sing, look hm up on youtube.

He's excellent!! I do have one comment on his Italian word pronunciation....this is trivial, of course...but because I took a semester of Italian, it just bothers me, that's all...otherwise, love him and love his life story!!

What does he mis pronounce? Maybe it's his British accent. I have a very thick nasal Philadelphia accent. Whenever I try to pronounce words in other languages, those native speakers can't help but laugh or hold back laughter.

In one of his songs where he says "tanto, tanto" (and a few others)...first, I couldn't figure what he was trying to say until I looked up the lyrics...and the thing is, I had to listen to Il Divo (same song) and one of the guys (David, the American guy) does pronounce it where I could totally understand this part of the song!! I'm also thinking that maybe because David Miller has had formal training and studied opera (graduate of The Oberlin Conservatory of Music)...I don't know...Paul has had some training, too, right? Anyway, it does not take the fact that I still adore Paul, even pre-ordered his cd before it hit the stands, lol!

I went to Paul's concert in Atlantic City. It was incredible! In many ways, he was so much like Elliott. He kept thanking the fans. At the end he thanked everybody at the venue. He was alot shorter than I thought he was. ( that didn't matter, but I expected him to be taller.)
He spoke to the audience alot. He told some stories. He was comfortable speaking. He was engaging and funny, while still so humble. He spoke of Simon Cowell. Apparently, Simon is really a nice guy. I was thinking of Renaldo's sincere tribute to Simon while Paul was telling us about his experiences working with Simon.
If it's even possible, Paul's live singing is even better than the cd. He sang some songs not on the cd. There wasn't a dry eye in the house during his incredible'' Ave Maria.'' He dedidcated '' Cavatina'' to his wife, Julz.
Paul Potts rates right up there with Elliott in my heroes list. If you ever have an opportunity to see him live in concert-go! You won't be sorry. You don't even have to be an opera fan. You'll just love the man.

Paul has a Cinderella story, just like Elliott.

I love Paul's story. His were real humble beginnings, just like Elliott's. It was a flip of a coin that decided for him to go on Britain's Got Talent. Every time I watch his first performance, I get the same reaction - chills and tears. You can almost see the dollar signs in Simon's eyes as he watched him.

Paul Potts [ tickets ], the season-one winner of "Britain's Got Talent," will return to the US for his first stateside trek since 2007 behind his forthcoming album, "Passione."
The opera singer will begin the outing July 6 in Grand Prairie, TX, and continue on to nine major markets through mid-July, wrapping up July 21 in Washington, DC. Details are shown below.
Potts is set to release his sophomore effort, "Passione," May 5. The album, which features a mix of operatic covers and a couple original pieces--all in Italian--was recorded alongside the Czech National Symphony Orchestra and includes a duet with New Zealand soprano Hayley Westenra.
Potts wowed both the crowd and judges on the first season of the UK reality show "Britain's Got Talent" in 2007. His performance of the aria "Nessun Dorma" from Puccini's Turandot won him the competition and kicked off his professional opera career with a 17-week run on Billboard's European Hot 100 Singles chart. The British tenor's debut, "One Chance," peaked at No. 1 on Billboard's Top Classical Crossover Albums chart and sold more than 2 million copies in the US alone.
Potts will be a guest on ABC's "The View" May 4, the day before the album drops, and will stop by NBC's "The Today Show" May 6.

My daughter and I were at his Atlantic City concert last night. He's even gotten better-so relaxed. What a wonderful man. Paul sings opera, but he reminds me of Elliott. Fame hasn't changed him. He's still a humble, regular nice guy. He kept thanking the fans.
Afterwards, we got to meet Paul and get an autograph and picture. He was so kind and warm. His wife is sweet too.
