Title: Claudette's Etrain Basket
Description: delivered!
croweb70 - June 5, 2007 01:21 AM (GMT)
First off, thanks to Nana for spearheading this effort!!!!
It was my pleasure to deliver the sunshine basket all of you put together for Claudette. She is doing well. Her hip replacement surgery has been postponed due to another infection she has in her hip from a previous surgery. When this infection has cleared she will return for the hip replacement. She is handling it all like a champ and was well enough to come home from the hospital today. Claudette was so touched by the basket. She went over every item and told me how thoughtful each gift was. As she shed a tear over the framed poem about Elliott, I was moved. She is overwhelmed by the loving support and dedication here.
On a personal note, I would like to take this opportunity to tell you all how proud I am of all our fans here. From the statisticians keeping track of every chart to the casual fan telling someone how good Elliott's cd is; you complete Elliott's team. Whether it's through PM's on this board, Elliott parties/events, at Elliott's concerts or just randomly running into you locally, it is truly a pleasure to meet and get to know you all. My life is forever changed for the better. Thank you. I've said it before and I'll say it again : ETrain you :rocker:
Here are the pics Claudette asked me to share :

Awwwwww, she is the sweetest! The Dog Gone Best Mom shirt is great, love that! I'll keep her in my prayers & hope, once she has the surgery, she heals quickly & COMPLETELY! This made me cry...in a good way of course! (I am a self professed bawl baby...most of ya'll know that....lol)
Oh & B....Right Back Atcha Babe! :awe: You have done & continue to do so much for ETrain (& so many of us ETrainers) I don't know how you could ever truly be compensated. I just hope you realize how important you are to us & how much you are loved as well!!
WeloveUElliott - June 5, 2007 01:33 AM (GMT)
I am so glad she is home hopefully will get some rest , and heal get the surgery done so she can get back out there to all her fans! She is an amazing woman. I will continue to keep her in my prayers !

chloewannabee - June 5, 2007 01:41 AM (GMT)
AWWWWWW B! I can't talk!Well, just a little! Just when I thought it couldn't get any better.....
I am simply overwhelmed with love and pride to be a member of this e-train. When I think of all the new friends, with whom I share this special bond, I just about burst!. It has become such an important part of my life, that I can't imagine life without the Etrain. Well, I don't have to think about that cause it just isn't going to happen.
And what ever would we do without you Brandon, our Conductor?????????
You my friend are the one who
:rocker:
I hope that any Etrainers who have the opportunity, or who leave Elliott messages on his MYSPACE, will let him know just how much Brandon has done for all of us, and most importantly, for Elliott himself and the Etrain!!!!
I digress, Thanks to nana2160 for this wonderful gift for Claudette.
And Claudette, know that we are thinking of you with all our love and prayers for a speedy recovery!
lindagt - June 5, 2007 01:43 AM (GMT)
How sweet of her to send back the pictures and note - it's easy to see where Elliott gets his strength of character and loving kindness.
And yeah B - you :rocker:
harleywoman - June 5, 2007 01:46 AM (GMT)
Thank you so much for this Brandon. I love the pictures. She seemed to like her little Harley dog. I was very touched by her words and yours B. You and Claudette are much loved by us E-Trainers. :grouphug:
nanassetta - June 5, 2007 02:44 AM (GMT)
Thanks Brandon! Claudette looks great! She is a gift to all of us - what a woman! Thanks again Nana for putting this together. The E-Train :rocker: What a blessing it is to be associated with such wonderful people. :etrain: :grouphug:
LuvMeSumE - June 5, 2007 02:53 AM (GMT)
How sweet of Claudette...of everyone who contributed...those who helped get it all together...and Brandon for delivering...everyone has made me cry AGAIN tonight :) I love this place! :grouphug:
yellin4yamin - June 5, 2007 03:10 AM (GMT)
you are makin' yellin....cryin'........
I too want to say that next to my biological family, the E-Train family, has been the one over the past year, that has made me laugh, cry, cheer, love, and most of all...BELIEVE, not only in the spirit of true friendship, and loyalty, and dedication..but in MYSELF, and for that, there are no words of thanks I could give, so I had to put the train PERMANENTLY on me, (my tattoo.)
To all who contributed, not just this time, to mama's basket, but ALWAYS throughout this past year, bless you. I truly believe that she needs us in a sense, as much as Elliott, and she need each other. What a beautiful group of people we have here at the Train, and like I told Elliott, I hope he truly knows how much he is loved, and with a look straight into my eyes, and a gentle hand on my shoulder he assured me.. he does;)
And Brandon, Brandonnnn, B, Crowe, "caw caw" "The Crowe Pose", the main man... well, I guess I can never tell you too much, though I try my hardest to tell you DAILY...THANK YOU. You too have etched a permanent smile on each of our hearts, that will be there for ALWAYS. Never think that all that you think, plan, say, or do goes without notice, because trust me, it does NOT. You can truly tell the kind of man that Elliott is, and will ALWAYS be, by the amazing group of people he has had by his side from BEFORE the very beginning..till now, and you are the shining example. The Etrain simply would not really be...without YOU. Elliott, I know, is HONORED to have you on his side. HE is not the only one my friend;)
God Bless you Mama Yamin, and I hope you enjoyed EACH and every tiny gift from the heart that was wrapped up so beautifully by nana. I hope my "crowe pose" pic with E, put a smile on your face, but for a moment;)
xxoo
I LOVE THE ETRAIN!!!!! sniff...sniff... :awe: :awe: :grouphug: :grouphug: :rocker: :etrain:
Linda4Elliott - June 5, 2007 03:19 AM (GMT)
Geesh, I am crying again! What a precious woman and thanks to everyone who did this wonderful thing and to Brandon for delivering it and for his wonderful kind message, as well. It's a beautiful thing, being a part of this family. Who knew where this would take us when we jumped on this train!! :grouphug:
Nana2160 - June 5, 2007 04:14 AM (GMT)
I don't know where to begin...I am so full of emotion at the moment. First of all...Thank you to Brandon for delivering the basket to Claudette!! I also want to thank all of you, for all of the kind words and notes I have received from everyone. It was a pleasure to do this for Claudette and the whole project has filled my heart with such warmth and love.
Not many people really know me...but I would just like to share a condensed version about me. I was raised in upstate NY, moved to VA in 1981, was married almost 21 years, I have 2 wonderful children and a 5 year old grandson who is the light of my life (Many of you have met my main "man") In 2001, I ended my 21 year marriage and have struggled with many trials and tribulations over the past 6 years. It has not been easy and I find comfort in helping people in anyway possible...
I have battled severe depression, and have isolated myself from the world...
I have to make an ultimate confession here...When I first learned about this boy from Richmond who made it on AI, I became quite interested in this "Hometown" boy. I followed him every week, voted from the comfort of my own home (Wasn't comfortable going to the local Elliott parties) I did go to the Diamond during his hometown visit and fell in love with this kid. His genuine demeanor was contagious and all of Richmond welcomed him with open arms!
I took my admiration one more step..."The AI boards"...from there Brandon invited me to join the Etrain...I have NEVER in my life, ever done anything like this before in my life...I feel an inner connection with Claudette and her sons, as we have encountered many simular trials in our lives. My 19 year old son can't sing...but he sure loves me, as Elliott & Scott love their mom.
Without rambling on anymore...I would just like to say...joining the Etrain has meant MUCH more to me than joining a "Fan Club!" The members here are definately an absolute wonderful bunch of human beings and I truly feel blessed to be a part of such an incredible site...
Not to mention, Elliotts voice...this angel sent to us...has brought hope back into my life. When ever I am feeling down, I listen to Elliott and he lifts my spirits back up. I would just like to add onemore thing...Being a passenger on the Etrain has helped me to gain back somewhat of a "social life"...I look forward to each and every Etrain event that comes my way or just hanging out here reading and keeping up on Elliotts journey to success!!!
ONE DAY...I would LOVE to have a "National" Etrain reunion...Somewhere in the Middle of the country, to make it more convenient for everyone to attend...
That will have to be in the future...But for now...It is an honor to be a part of such a great group.
May God Bless all of you,
Theresa AKA Nana2160

So beautifully said!! I too am so happy to have found you all and VERY much love Elliott, Claudette and all of you!! Both my DH and I share much joy in having Elliott in our lives! Hope Claudette feels all our love as much as we have all tried to make Elliott feel it on the road!
lothlorien - June 5, 2007 06:17 AM (GMT)
oh, this was such a wonderful thing to do. i am so envious that being in another part of the world, i can't join you guys in doing things like this. still, i echo everyone's sentiment here -- this has been more than just a fan club; this has been an extended family for each of us and certainly is one of the best things that has come our way.

My heart and prayers got out to Elliott and Claudette.

Thanks Brandon, Nana and everyone involved. Claudette looks happy and that was the goal. She is such a gracious lady. The pictures are lovely. she just lights up the pictures.
I hope that the infection clears soon and that Claudette's surgery goes well. Maybe she can get to some shows on Elliott's second leg of his 2007 tour.
Brandon, we appreciate all that you do for this site, for Elliott and for us. Thanks.

Thanks Nana2160 and nanassetta for all that you did to put this together for Claudette, and thanks Brandon for being the extra special delivery man! It was a priviledge to have the chance to participate in a small way in this gift basket, and it was great to see pictures of Claudette receiving it. Nana, thanks so much for the DVD suggestion, and I was so happy to see the photo of Claudette holding it! And Nana, believe me, I too have never been a member of site like this.... amazing what Elliott and his music can do for people! My prayers are with Claudette for continued progress and full recovery.

Hi Brandon and all,
do you know where I can send something for Claudette? she reminds me so much about my mom, who lives 6 hours by plane from me.
this whole thing about being a devoted fan of E and E-Train for the first time, applies to me , too. I don't go gaga for celebrities, never had been a member of any fan club. I guess E bring a lot of people together in peace and peace is a scarce commodity to find these days...so I thank you all for letting me stay here. I live in China and may not post so much, but I am always here everyday. and reading concert recaps these past couple of weeks....duh, I wish I am there in one of those cities E performs!
Brandon, back to mama Yamin...to what address should I send something for her?
thank you E-Trainers and B...you make me feel so welcome.

:grouphug: To everyone on E-Train and sending all lots of strength and love.

And to Brandon, Thank You for all you do.
