Title: House!!
Description: Show FOX some love

mike83 - April 28, 2007 09:33 PM (GMT)
I love HOUSE, IMO it is way better than Gray's Anatomy. The acting is incredible and Hugh Laurie is a genius. The stories always keep you on the tip of your toes and try to guess what the patient has.

The ratings are through the roof, and are constantly in the top 5 shows on Network TV.

How many are House fanatics like I am?

ElliottCat101 - April 28, 2007 10:55 PM (GMT)
I watch House every week after AI! It's one of the funniest shows on television!

movin2thabeet - April 29, 2007 12:12 AM (GMT)
Yeah, I love the show too! Hugh Laurie is incredible, love his acting, his sense of humor, intelligence and wit.
I enjoy the ensemble dynamics on this show, as I do with Grey's Anatomy. I think both shows are great.

Flipboy5 - May 1, 2007 09:27 PM (GMT)
I don't know about it being better than Grey's Anatomy since that show has so many great characters. I think just has more romantic storylines than House.

House is a great show though. I didn't use to like Hugh Laurie for some reason until I accidentally recorded it this season. Now, I'm hooked. I love House's sarcasm, his facial expressions and the way he talks to his people. He's incredibly funny, something I never thought this show would be.

I watched it last night, and I actually like it. It was a pretty good.. I LIKE IT :]]

wee_moggie - May 10, 2007 08:15 PM (GMT)
House is my favorite show!

I've always liked Hugh Laurie. Has anyone seen his other work? He's been in several movies, and has done British television like "Black Adder" and "Jeeves and Wooster." He's very funny and silly and very British! Definitely worth checking out.

I loved J&W, although I admit I was more of a Jeeves fan. If you don't already have it, I would also recommend A Bit of Fry and Laurie. It's a British sketch comedy show that Hugh and Stephen Fry did. Some really funny stuff.

ECrazy3 - August 1, 2007 10:48 PM (GMT)
I actually started watching House simply because it was on after AI, and while I was voting I had no hands free to change the channel lol

But now I love it.

So what's you think, Mike? The show seemed strange without
House's 3 partners in crime, no?

GypsyNFla - September 27, 2007 10:31 PM (GMT)
I didn't know House's partners left the show.

craxymonkey - September 28, 2007 05:11 AM (GMT)
OMG, HOUSE is so awesome XD

Flipboy5 - September 29, 2007 03:48 AM (GMT)
I didn't miss House's team as much as he did but man that episode was thoroughly entertaining and they caught me off guard with the whole wrong patient thing. I love Cuddy and Wilson too!

mike83 - September 29, 2007 11:40 AM (GMT)
The ratings were through the roof. It was the highest rated premiere on Fox since the X Files.

This is from Media Life Magazine:

Meanwhile, it was a big night for Fox, where the premiere of “House” built 7 percent over last year’s 7.2 and was the night’s top-rated show among 18-49s, averaging a 7.7.

It was the year's top premiere thus far in the demo and also marked Fox's best drama premiere in seven years, since "The X-Files" in November 2000.

That powered Fox to an easy victory on the night, well ahead of No. 2s NBC and ABC, which had the night’s top show in total viewers with “Dancing with the Stars” (18.3 million, barely ahead of “House’s” 18.1 million).

Well, it's obvious I love House. Loved the season premier. The thing with the janitor taking the place of his team was hilarious. Hugh Laurie is just great in that role. I really had never heard of him before House but have sinced watched some Fry and Laurie skits on Youtube. The "Bar" one really had me laughing.

Try to watch some episodes of "Black Adder" and "Jeeves and Wooster." Hugh Laurie is silly and brilliant.

I can't wait for tonight's episode to see what he does with all these prospective team members. I'm sure it will be ethically wrong and extremely hilarious.

Efan2 - October 4, 2007 03:05 AM (GMT)
Last night's episode was very good. Surprising to see that 2 members of his old team are actually at the hospital and House didn't find out for 2 (or 3) weeks. I'm wondering how all of this is going to play out though...the old team and the new team.

Wee, I'll research "Black Adder" and "Jeeves and Wooster" to see what I can find. Thanks.

Tonight's episode was one of the best ones i think and next week's looks great as well!

My idiot DVR is on the blink again. It recorded it, but it won't let me see it. This has happened before, and if I reboot the thing it should work, but I didn't get to see it yet!

Who saw the season finale last night?

OMy!

wee_moggie - May 23, 2008 03:52 AM (GMT)
It was really good! Very good performances.

It really leaves the door open as to what House and Wilson's friendship will be like from now on.

Sk8888 - November 10, 2008 11:13 PM (GMT)
On Sunday nights the USA channel has back-to-back episodes of House.

It's been great for me, since I didn't get hooked until last season.

Berkana - November 11, 2008 03:31 AM (GMT)

I agree!

Have you seen his earlier work? I highly recommend Jeeves and Wooster, among others.

Yep! I especially love the Blackadder work LOL! It's hard to see Hugh as House, then Hugh as the Prince (A fop and an idiot!). So hilarious.

I was very upset with last night's episode of House....especially since I was unsure if the person had actually passed.

In case you want to know, he is very much alive, and has accepted a position as a liaison between the public and the White House. Kal Penn was very involved in the Obama campaign, participated in graduate courses at Stanford, and was/is an adjunct prof at Penn. So, it was his decision to leave the show.

But I'm still upset.

LilRedDevilLizzy - April 7, 2009 10:10 AM (GMT)
Wait! Who left the show?? I'm so behind cause moms physical therapisy comes in Mondays. Anyone have a good site to catch up on?

Sk8888 - April 7, 2009 04:54 PM (GMT)
I found a link to EW last night that explained everything. I don't have time to look for it, but the blogs were hoppin' about it last night. I'm sure it won't be too hard to find.

Spoiler Alert:

It was Dr. Lawrence Kuter/Kal Penn in real life.

LilRedDevilLizzy - April 14, 2009 12:24 PM (GMT)
So after a week...do we still hate the way they got rid of him? I do.
